Locations: Halifax County, Guysborough County, and most of Cape Breton.

Total rainfall: 65 to 85 mm, except possibly higher amounts in thunderstorms.

Time span: This morning until early Wednesday morning.

Remarks: Rainfall rates of 5 to 10 mm per hour may occur over some locations. Thunderstorms may develop producing locally heavier rainfall. Conditions may change rapidly with locally intense downpours.

Water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas. Some travel delays are possible. Visibility will likely be suddenly reduced at times.

Rainfall warnings are issued when significant impacts are expected due to rainfall amounts.
